Matilda: The Musical
All videos are in VOB unless otherwise noted. Most screenshots are not my own: the dates that are underlined are the ones that I have taken (I only download the musicals/plays when I have time to patiently wait for my internet). As my internet connection is very weak, if you request screenshots please note that it will take about 3-4 hours after I read your email to provide screenshots to you.

Cleo Demetriou (Matilda), Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull), Lauren Ward (Miss Honey), Melanie La Barrie (Mrs Phelps), Katy Monk (Nigel), Lucy May Pollard (Amanda), Ted Wilson (Eric), Jamie Kaye (Tommy)
*One hour highlights from Act 1. The quality is fine though it is hard to make out definite expressions. It wonders to the top of the stage frequently as it was filmed from the highest point of the upper circle. It also does not follow the action well. However, I believe it's worth watching if you're a Matilda fan because you can see one of the original Matildas performing for an hour!

Hayley Canham (Matilda), Charles Brunton (u/s Miss Trunchbull), Haley Flaherty (Miss Honey), Steve Furst (Mr Wormwood), Annette McLaughlin (Mrs Wormwood), Nick Searle (Michael Wormwood), James Moore (Bruce Bogtrotter)
*Notes: Hayley Canham's last show as Matilda! Cast was great and Charles was a great Miss Trunchbull! Amazing 16:9 capture shot in full HD with gorgeous color ! A few heads get into the frame at times, but nothing that interrupts the action on stage! Crystal clear quality with no zooms! Some washout from the spotlights but it's still very watchable and entertaining! Also shows Amanda's full throwing scene with her being "caught". The RAR files open up into the MP4 files.

13 March, 2013 (Previews, Broadway)
Cast: Sophia Gennusa (Matilda), Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull), Lauren Ward (Miss Honey), Gabriel Ebert (Mr Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs Wormwood), Taylor Trensch (Michael Wormwood), Ryan Steele (u/s Rudolpho), Jack Broderick (Bruce), Frenie Acoba (Lavender), Jared Parker (Nigel), Karen Aldridge (Mrs Phelps), Ben Thompson (Escapologist), Samantha Strum (Acrobat)
* Fantastic show that captures both the dark and whimsical tone of Roald Dahl, great visuals and performances by everyone. Sophia is the youngest Matilda and she was great. Very small lyrical changes from London. Well shot and mostly steady, a head appears at the bottom of the screen sometimes because the person in front kept leaning forward. Some wandering during Telly as the house lights were on and also When I Grow Up Reprise (Bows) Because of the standing ovation

Oona Laurence (Matilda), Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull), Lauren Ward (Miss Honey), Gabriel Ebert (Mr Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs Wormwood), Taylor Trensch (Michael Wormwood), Phillip Spaeth (Rudolpho), Karen Aldridge (Mrs Phelps), Ben Thompson (The Escapologist), Samantha Strum (The Acrobat), Jack Broderick (Bruce), Frenie Acoba (Lavender), Jared Parker (Nigel)
*Very good capture from the top of the balcony. The other Oona video isn't so great (tons of heads in the way), so I'm glad that this one exists.

Bailey Ryon, Bertie Carvel, Lauren Ward, Lesli Margherita, Gabriel Ebert, Phillip Spaeth, Karen Aldridge, Jake Broderick, Frenie Acoba
*Heads at the bottom of the screen sometimes because people kept leaning forward and some shaky moments, but mostly a focused steady shot with nice close-ups. Very clear HD video with excellent sound throughout. It's amazing how much the show has changed since the previews and Bailey is an awesome Matilda who leans towards the sarcastic side. (Personally what I love the most about this capture is that it shows the pit orchestra taking their bows, which recordings almost never show)

Elise Blake (Matilda)
*What's nice about this capture is that it captures the whole stage plus the aisle leading up to the stage. The other captures don't show the aisle, which misses out on some of the exits/entrances that characters make and character/audience interactions. However, there are no close-ups and faces are washed out. HD Capture, not ripped from YouTube.

Ripley Sobo (Matilda), Jill Paice (Miss Honey), Christopher Sieber (Miss Trunchbull), Matt Harrington (Mr. Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs. Wormwood), Natalie Venetia Belcon (Mrs. Phelps), Alex Brightman (Michael Wormwood), Phillip Spaeth (Rudolpho), Ava DeMary (u/s Lavender)
*A great capture of the show! Ripley is so talented and I enjoyed her performance immensely. Christopher Sieber, Jill Paice, and Lesli Margherita are standouts as well - this is just an all around fantastic cast. There are two blackouts in act one: two minutes during the first Wormwood scene and three minutes during the first Library scene. During act two, Telly is blacked out while the house lights are on; video starts at Lavender's entrance. Camera action works well around heads and the sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

Cast: Eliza Holland Madore (Matilda), Alison Luff (Miss Honey), Christopher Sieber (Miss Trunchbull), Matt Harrington (Mr. Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs. Wormwood), Karen Aldridge (Mrs. Phelps), Alex Brightman (Michael Wormwood), Phillip Spaeth (Rudolpho), Sofia Roma Rubino (u/s Lavender), Mitchell Sink (Bruce), Jonah Halperin (Nigel), Beatrice Tulchin (Amanda), Christian Michael Camporin (Eric), Alexa Shae Niziak (Alice), Ava DeMary (Hortensia), Chris Sumpter (Tommy), Geoff Packard (t/r Doctor/Sergei/The Escape Artist), Jennifer Bowles (The Acrobat), Sean Montgomery (Party Entertainer), Scott Difford (u/s Ensemble), Marisa Kennedy (Ensemble), Matt Miegs (Ensemble), Cassie Silva (Ensemble), Clay Thomson (Ensemble)
*A great capture of Eliza’s Matilda, and she’s fantastic in the role. There are a few heads at the bottom of the screen, but they are easily worked around so they rarely affect the action. There are some quick dropouts in each act, and Telly is audio only while the house lights are on, but there are no other major blackouts. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, encore, and playbill scans.

Tori Feinstein (Matilda), Alison Luff (Miss Honey), Christopher Sieber (Miss Trunchbull), Matt Harrington (Mr. Wormwood), Lesli Margherita (Mrs Wormwood), Karen Aldridge (Mrs. Phelps), Alex Brightman (Michael Wormwood), Phillips Spaeth (Rudolpho), Grace Capeless (Lavender), Mitchell Sink (Bruce), Jonah Halperin (Nigel),Beatrice Tulchin (Amanda), Christian Michael Camporin (Eric), Alexa Shae Niziak (Alice), Ava DeMary (Hortensia),Chris Sumpter (Tommy), Geoff Packard (Doctor/Sergei/The Escape Artist), Jennifer Bowles (The Acrobat), Sean Montgomery (Party Entertainer).
*An excellent capture of Tori as Matilda. She’s a very impressive young actress, and has her own fresh take on the role. The rest of the cast is solid as well; I believe this is the first capture of Alison Luff, and she steps into the show beautifully. This is very nicely captured with no washout, no major blackouts, and very little obstruction. A railing blocks the very front left corner of the stage, but only the actors’ legs are unseen. Telly is audio only; the video for act two begins when the house lights go down and Lavender takes the stage. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.
